20 questions, answered.

How far is Crater Lake Resort from Crater Lake National Park?
7 miles from the south entrance of Crater Lake National Park — about a 30-minute drive to the rim. We are the closest year-round lodging to the south gate.
Are you pet-friendly?
Yes — the entire property is pet-friendly except the vacation home. Pet fees: $25 per night, per pet for cabins, glamping, and the capsule. $10 per night, per pet for RV and tent sites.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes — complimentary Wi-Fi reaches the entire property. Rural location so speeds are best for streaming and browsing. Bring a hotspot if you need bulletproof connectivity for remote work.
Do you have EV charging?
Yes — Tesla Supercharger (13 kW) on property at the general store, 24/7. (Our Chargepoint Level 2 station is temporarily offline for repair.)
Where's the nearest gas station?
Closest fuel is the Crater Lake Travel Center on US-97, about 13 miles south. Inside Crater Lake National Park there's a seasonal summer-only pump. Fort Klamath itself does not have a fuel station.
Do you have a restaurant?
No — we have a general store with groceries, beer, ice, OTC pharmacy, fishing tackle, and the basics, but no in-house dining. The closest restaurants and bakery are 10 miles south in Chiloquin: Crater Coffee Company, The Burger Shack, The Chiloquin Grill, Turtle Loaves bakery, El Rodeo, and Peak to Peak Restaurant.
Are you open in winter?
Yes — we are open year-round. Cabins, vacation home, capsule, RV sites (full + partial), and the general store all operate through winter. Glamping is the only seasonal option (May 15 – October 15). 30% off cabin and vacation home stays in January–February.
What's the cancellation policy?
To make a reservation we require a deposit equal to the 1st night's stay. Cancellations made 30+ days from the day of arrival will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 29 days or less of the reservation will not receive a refund. Please note, we do not offer refunds for weather related cancellations and concerns, unless we must close the resort due to an emergency. We also do not offer refunds for late check-in, or early check-out.
What's the change fee for adjusting a reservation?
$25 per date change for any date change to an existing reservation, at any time.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Check in at the general store on the property.
What's on the property?
Cabins (13), vacation home, glamping tents, capsule, RV sites (13), tent sites (4), general store, recreation hall, free canoes on Fort Creek, a giant tree swing, geocaching, floating bridge, covered bridge, fishing access, BBQs, bathhouse with hot showers, laundry, and a Tesla Supercharger. RV dumping is included for full-hookup RV guests. (Our Chargepoint Level 2 station is temporarily offline for repair.)
What else is there to do nearby?
Crater Lake National Park (7 mi), Annie Creek Sno-Park, Wood River Wetlands, Fort Klamath Museum, Sky Lakes Wilderness, Train Mountain Museum, Collier State Park & Logging Museum, Crater Lake Zipline, Jackson Kimball State Park, and Klamath Falls (40 mi south). See our full area guide.
What's the maximum RV length you can accommodate?
35 feet at most sites, back-in only. Call (541) 381-2349 if your rig is longer or if you have specific clearance / slide-out needs so we can match you to the right site.
Do you allow car camping or pop-up tents?
Only at our Partial RV Sites — those have power and water and accommodate RVs, car campers, and pop-up tent vehicles. Our dedicated tent sites are walk-in only.
Can I host a wedding or event here?
Yes — we have a recreation hall, open meadow, and covered bridge for ceremonies and receptions, plus 35+ lodging units so the entire guest list sleeps on site. Year-round, including winter weddings.
Is the property smoking?
No — we are a smoke-free property. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas; please ask the front desk on arrival.
What are the quiet hours?
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Most of our guests are up before sunrise anyway — that's when Crater Lake is at its quietest.
Do I need chains in winter?
Sometimes — depending on storm conditions. US-97 and OR-62 are plowed but can require chains during big storms (most often December – March). Check ODOT TripCheck before you leave.
Can a group book multiple sites together?
Yes — we host family reunions, wedding parties, RV club rallies, and friend groups regularly. Call (541) 381-2349 or note it in your booking and we'll cluster sites together where possible.
Is there cell service?
Limited cell service on the property. Wi-Fi reaches most areas. If you need bulletproof connectivity, bring a hotspot.
