- How far is Crater Lake Resort from Crater Lake National Park?
- 7 miles from the south entrance of Crater Lake National Park — about a 30-minute drive to the rim. We are the closest year-round lodging to the south gate.
- Are you pet-friendly?
- Yes — the entire property is pet-friendly except the vacation home. Pet fees: $25 per night, per pet for cabins, glamping, and the capsule. $10 per night, per pet for RV and tent sites.
- Do you have Wi-Fi?
- Yes — complimentary Wi-Fi reaches the entire property. Rural location so speeds are best for streaming and browsing. Bring a hotspot if you need bulletproof connectivity for remote work.
- Do you have EV charging?
- Yes — Tesla Supercharger (13 kW) and Chargepoint station on property at the general store. Open to guests and the public, 24/7.
- Where's the nearest gas station?
- Fort Klamath has a fuel pump about a mile away. The closest full-service gas + diesel is Crater Lake Junction Travel Center, about 13 miles south. Inside the park there's a summer-only pump.
- Do you have a restaurant?
- No — we have a general store with groceries, beer, ice, OTC pharmacy, fishing tackle, and the basics, but no in-house dining. The closest restaurants are 10 miles south in Chiloquin: Crater Coffee Company, The TP, Potbelly Cafe, El Rodeo, and Peak to Peak Restaurant.
- Are you open in winter?
- Yes — we are open year-round. Cabins, vacation home, capsule, RV sites (full + partial), and the general store all operate through winter. Glamping is the only seasonal option (May 15 – October 15). 30% off cabin and vacation home stays in January–February.
- What's the cancellation policy?
- 100% refund if cancelled 30+ days prior. No refund for cancellations within 29 days, late check-in, early check-out, or weather (unless the resort closes for an emergency).
- What's the change fee for adjusting a reservation?
- $25 per date change for any date change to an existing reservation, at any time.
- What are check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Check in at the general store on the property.
- What's on the property?
- Cabins (13), vacation home, glamping tents, capsule, RV sites (13), tent sites (4), general store, recreation hall, free canoes on Fort Creek, a giant tree swing, geocaching, floating bridge, covered bridge, fishing access, BBQs, bathhouse with hot showers, laundry, dump station, and Tesla Supercharger + Chargepoint EV charging.
- What else is there to do nearby?
- Crater Lake National Park (7 mi), Annie Creek Sno-Park, Wood River Wetlands, Fort Klamath Museum, Sky Lakes Wilderness, Train Mountain Museum, Collier State Park & Logging Museum, Crater Lake Zipline, Jackson Kimball State Park, and Klamath Falls (35 mi south). See our full area guide.
- What's the maximum RV length you can accommodate?
- 35 feet at most sites, back-in only. Call (541) 381-2349 if your rig is longer or if you have specific clearance / slide-out needs so we can match you to the right site.
- Do you allow car camping or pop-up tents?
- Only at our Partial RV Sites — those have power and water and accommodate RVs, car campers, and pop-up tent vehicles. Our dedicated tent sites are walk-in only.
- Can I host a wedding or event here?
- Yes — we have a recreation hall, open meadow, and covered bridge for ceremonies and receptions, plus 35+ lodging units so the entire guest list sleeps on site. Year-round, including winter weddings.
- Is the property smoking?
- No — we are a smoke-free property. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas; please ask the front desk on arrival.
- What are the quiet hours?
- 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Most of our guests are up before sunrise anyway — that's when Crater Lake is at its quietest.
- Do I need chains in winter?
- Sometimes — depending on storm conditions. US-97 and OR-62 are plowed but can require chains during big storms (most often December – March). Check ODOT TripCheck before you leave.
- Can a group book multiple sites together?
- Yes — we host family reunions, wedding parties, RV club rallies, and friend groups regularly. Call (541) 381-2349 or note it in your booking and we'll cluster sites together where possible.
- Is there cell service?
- Limited cell service on the property. Wi-Fi reaches most areas. If you need bulletproof connectivity, bring a hotspot.
