Common questions
Which cabin is right for you?
- What's the difference between Creekside, Family Creekside, and Deluxe Creekside?
- Creekside is the standard creekside cabin (sleeps 4, kitchenette). Family Creekside adds a sofa sleeper, a FULL kitchen, and a lounge — sleeps 6 — best for families. Deluxe Creekside is a bay-window cabin with a full kitchen and bath tub — sleeps 3 — best for couples + 1 or quieter retreats.
- Are all the cabins pet-friendly?
- Yes — every cabin at Crater Lake Resort is pet-friendly. Pet fee is $25 per night, per pet. Our vacation home is the only accommodation that doesn't allow pets.
- How close are the cabins to Crater Lake National Park?
- All cabins are 7 miles from the south entrance of Crater Lake National Park — about a 30-minute drive to the rim. We're the closest year-round lodging to the south gate.
- Are the cabins open in winter?
- Yes — all of our standard, two-bedroom, and creekside cabins are open year-round with A/C in summer and heat in winter. The Studio Cabin is best in spring, summer, and fall (no A/C). Most other lodging in the area closes October through May — we stay open.
- Which cabin has a full kitchen?
- The Family Creekside Cabin and the Deluxe Creekside Cabin both have full kitchens with stove, fridge, microwave, and full cookware. The Creekside, Standard, and Standard 2-Bedroom cabins have kitchenettes with cooktops (no oven). The Studio Cabin has a microwave + fridge kitchenette without a cooktop.
- Which cabin sleeps the most people?
- The Family Creekside Cabin sleeps up to 6 (2 queen beds + sofa sleeper). For more than 6 under one roof, look at the Vacation Home — our 3BR / 2BA whole-house rental that sleeps up to 12.
- How do I get from a Studio Cabin to the Family Creekside in your lineup?
- Sleeping order, smallest to largest: Studio (2) → Deluxe Creekside (3) → Standard (4) → Standard 2-Bedroom (4) → Creekside (4) → Family Creekside (6) → Vacation Home (12).
- Can we book multiple cabins together?
- Yes — many groups book 2-3 cabins for a small reunion or wedding party. We can usually cluster them together on request. Call (541) 381-2349 or note it in your booking.
