Common questions

EV charging — answered.

Where exactly is the EV charging located?
At the Crater Lake Resort general store. 50711 Crater Lake Highway, Fort Klamath, OR. Pull in, park, charge. Open 24/7.
What chargers do you have?
Tesla Supercharger (13 kW, Tesla-native connector) at the general store. We also have a Chargepoint Level 2 station for non-Tesla EVs, currently offline for repair — check back soon.
Do I have to be staying at the resort to charge?
No — the Tesla Supercharger is open to the public. Many drivers stop on the way to Crater Lake National Park, charge while they grab supplies at the store, and continue on. Resort guests get the same access.
How fast is the charging?
The Tesla Supercharger runs at 13 kW. That's a destination-charger speed — slower than a V3 Supercharger — but reliable, free of waitlists, and plenty if you're staying overnight or grabbing a meal at the store.
What does it cost to charge?
Tesla charges via your Tesla account at standard destination-charging rates. We don't take payment at the store for charging.
Is this the closest EV charging to Crater Lake National Park?
We are one of the few EV charging locations within 30 miles of Crater Lake National Park's south entrance. Inside the park itself, charging is limited. Most EV travelers heading to the rim charge here first.
Is the EV charging available year-round?
Yes — both chargers operate year-round, including winter. The chargers are plowed and maintained alongside the rest of the property.
Can I charge overnight while I stay?
Yes — and it's a great use of an overnight. Pull in, plug in, walk to your cabin. You'll wake up with a full battery for the rim drive.
Is there cell service at the chargers?
Limited cell service. Resort Wi-Fi reaches the store area, which helps for app-based charging. Start any app-based charging session before you wander off.
